HAGAR
The Hagar organization is dedicated to the recovery of women and children who have experiences abuse, slavery, and trafficking.
Their vision is to help with the care and recovery of those affected by trauma and help them through the healing process. Hagar has helped more than 17,000 people by working with individuals on their specific needs.
Volunteers have put in over 17,232 hours of care and support. Programs provided comprehensive recovery to survivors including protection, recovery, empowerment, and reintegration.
They have also trained 8,645 community members on topics like domestic abuse and trafficking awareness to empower them and change their attitudes.
Hagar has brought trauma-informed education models to many resource-poor countries bringing therapists and educators to help teachers understand how they can utilize this approach to teach more people.
So far Hagar has successfully reintegrated 106 survivors back into their families or communities.
