ECPAT USA
The End Child Prostitution And Trafficking (ECPAT USA) was one of the first non-profit organizations in the United States created over 25 years ago to focus on the issue of sexual exploitation of minors.
They aim to create awareness about child sexual exploitation in order to create social and political change. They work to advocate for children by preventing and reporting sexual abuse, as well as developing legislation in order to further prevent sexual exploitation of children.
Today, there are 95 countries working together through ECPAT to eliminate the sexual exploitation of children. They do this by advocating for children at a federal and state level to ensure that as victims, they are not to be prosecuted for prostitution.
Along with that, they also educate first responders such as law enforcement and also the general public of red flags to help identify possible victims. Another thing they do is try to educate minors so they can become involved and a part of their fight to end sex trafficking.
