There are many different groups that focus on ending slavery through out the world. One widely famous person would be Ashton Kutcher.

 

Kutcher is a long time actor on several well known tv shows and movies. He has had a long career as an actor and director. Kutcher and his first wife Demi Moore founded Thorn. 

 

Thorn’s focus is to end sex trafficking for young teens and children. Kutcher and Moore started Thorn in 2012 after watching a documentary about what happens to young people in Cambodia. Soon after they would learn that the same thing happens in the United States and just as often.

 

They realized that the main driveing force to sex trafficking was technology, their hope was to defeat trafficking the same way that it start with technology.

 

In 2014 Thorn had developed new software that would be able to detect when someone would puchase a person for sex trafficking online. The organization gave it to law enforcement for free so that they could put a stop to sex trafficking.

 

Kutcher and Moore have stepped away from Thorn after founding the organization in 2012, though Kutcher still remains involved with Thorn by going to world wide conferences, and helping engineers create new software to further build their company and stopping trafficking.
